How to apply for a Hong Kong Security account?
You can down load the application form or get it at our office or we can send it to you. Please read it, fill in the required details and attach the other documents and send them to us.
For individual Hong Kong Security account, what other document do I need provide?
Individual / Joint Account - Hong Kong Security
- 1. Account owner Hong Kong Identification or copy of the Passport.
- 2. Address Proof (For example: Utility bill, Electricity bill or bank statement with your name on it; within the last 3 months)
For Commercial clients, what document(s) is required?
- Company Registration Certificate (With the endorsement from the company director or company secretary for the confirmation of the authenticity of documents).
- Business Registration Certificate (With the endorsement from the company director or company secretary for the confirmation of the authenticity of documents).
- Agreement from the Board of Directors (With the endorsement from the company director or company secretary for the confirmation of the authenticity of documents) shows agreement from the board of directors to open such an account and the authorization of certain director or other persons to manage the account.
- Guarantee from one of the directors (With the endorsement from the company director or company secretary for the confirmation of the authenticity of documents)。
- The most recent company Memorandum together with list of directors (With the endorsement from the company director or company secretary for the confirmation of the authenticity of documents).
- The latest audited financial statements (With the endorsement from the company director or company secretary for the confirmation of the authenticity of documents).
- Photocopy of the Hong Kong identity card or passports from all of the company directors and other authorized persons.
How long would it take?
Once we have received the application together with the required documents (must be correctly fill-in), the account should be opened within one business day.
How can I get the application form?
Two ways:
- You can download the application form, online stock quote application and withdrawal form, fill in the required details and attach the other documents and send them to us by fax, email or in person.
- Visit one of our offices in person, fill in the required details and provide the other necessary documents to our customer service agents.
What would I receive if the application is successful？
KVB Kunlun will send you an account number and login-in password via email, then you can login and start to manage your account.
Oversea Client (ex Hong Kong)
If I were not in Hong Kong, can I still open a Hong Kong Securities account?
Yes. Please provide the photocopy of valid passport or identity card together with the address proof within the last 3 months, you still can apply for the a Hong Kong Securities account.
If I do not live in Hong Kong, can I still use the online trading platform?
Yes. As long as you have your Hong Kong Security account, even if you live outside of Hong Kong, you still can trade on the online trading platform.
If I do not live in Hong Kong, any other ways I can still trade Hong Kong Security?
Besides the online trading platform, you can still trade by calling the toll-free telephone line; dealers will execute your order.
If I do not live in Hong Kong, how can I apply for Hong Kong Security account?
You can download the application form; once you completed the application form, you can email it to hkcs@kvbkunlun.com or other offices. Or else, we can send the application form to you. Please read it, fill in the required details and attach the other documents and send them to us. Do not hesitate to call one of our customer service agents to assist your application.
Account Type
Within Hong Kong Security account, how many types of account that KVB Kunlun offer?
There are two types: with and without margin financing.
- Cash account transactions are settled in cash, no loans involved.
- Margin financing accounts
A more flexible use of capital for stock trading, a Margin Financing account allows a client to get financing to his/her stock portfolio. As stated on the agreement, KVB Kunlun is entitled to, or by other means, re-finance these stocks.
Can I open multiple accounts?
Clients can open accounts with and without margin financing simultaneously.
